I want to know can we find particles size of mesoporous nanoparticles using BET. I am more concerned about porous than the nonporous. How important is the density of particles in this regard?
You can deduce particle size from surface area only if the latter is purely external, i.e. if the particles are non porous. The particles also need to have a homogeneous size, otherwise the calculation is meaningless. Therefore, as your particiles are mesoporous, a significant part of the surface area will be due to the mesopores, and you won't be able to separate this contribution from that of the external surface area. It is much better to use electron microscopy for measuring particle size, and it is always easier and faster.
