in principle, this is possible, known as multispectral imaging. However, the wavelengths have to be carefully chosen, depending on the kind of solution. Otherwise, results may not be conclusive.
Cheap photometers used to do this with only two wavelengths: One where the substance absorbs and another where it doesn't. The other wavelength is used to correct for any background absorbance. Nothing prevents you from using even more wavelengths.
