I performed isolations,in vitro characterization of probiotics successfully, So,can I proceed for therapeutic potential in vivo without checking their survival rate in vivo.
Dear Maryam, if you have determined probiotic attributes (AT, BT, Adhesion, CSH etc.), you can proceed ahead for checking bio-therapeutic potential under in vivo conditions. You can also plan some studies using in vitro cell line models.
If you check the research, you will find very few probiotics are able to colon-ise. The few that do, don't do it consistently. It appears to have more to do with the already established community, not allowing the newcomer, to take a place within the community.
