Can two index number be employed in Gmsh?

I am trying to build an square lattice array of perforation on a disk surface. I like to create a for loop inside a for loop. One for x positions (loop 1) and other for a y position for all the x positions (subloop of loop 1). For that I need to name the perforation number p(x_i,y_j). Can it be done on Gmsh?

GMSH creates entities based on single index basis. You can use api of gmsh (c++ or python) to create named physical entity and bound them on two index basis. This wil require little use of classes but it can be worked out.
