Hello everyone,

i'm studying a mutation occuring on the first translational start site of a gene. When performing WB i see the production of a shorter protein (translation starts from a downstream AUG) but i still see the production of the WT longer form.

I'm overexpressing a tagged protein and using an antibody against the tag, so the band is not the endogenous protein.
