Can the optimisation of mass in two electrode for assymetric supercapacitor be done from two electrode experiment?

If anyone is having the reference please provide it.

I think at first the measurement (CV and CD) of both the materials should be done in three electrode setup. Afterwards, the mass of both the materials active in positive and negative potential region should be optimized to get the similar current response in CV and similar discharge time in CD. Then asymmetric set-up should be done. However, there are also reports where unequal specific capacitances of negative and positive electrodes were used to enhance the energy density.
