In I-V characterization tests, different SMU configurations can be used. Could anyone explain the difference between "Ohmmeter configuration" and "Power Supply Configuration"?
In the "Power Supply Configuration", the two electrodes that supply the potential are placed between two electrodes that measure the current generated. What happens if the arrangement of the electrodes are switched, where the inner two electrodes are used to measure the current?

Answer 1:- Yes, you can use it.

Answer 2:- In ohm-meter config., the SMU is selecting the best test current and voltage required for the optimum resistance measurement. In power-supply config., the SMU is providing the accurate Voltage for high output current levels.
