I am trying to calibrate a hydrologic model for a large watershed in central Mexico(Lerma). I found several stream gages in the watershed, but hourly streamflow data from the gages is not consistently available till 2018. Also, I haven't been able to find any historical rainfall data. To collaborate my model, I need both rainfall & runoff data.
Can someone suggest any source to download rainfall and runoff data for the central Mexico-Conauga?
I would truly appreciate any help.
You are probably familiar with this. You may be able to use other stations in same physiographic area, and adjust for rainfall differences due to elevation, and runoff differences due to land use, soils, etc.

You can obtain historical information of precipitation stations throughout Mexico, including the Lerma region of the page:

It is information from the National Meteorological Service.
With regard to runoff information, I suggest you look for information on the National Surface Data Bank (BANDAS) page:

Just to tell you that for certain hydrometric stations there is information until 2006 or previous years.
A good option to obtain precipitation information for current years is: https://climateserv.servirglobal.net/ I personally analyze statistically the information of CONAGUA and CLIMATESERV and it has very little variation.

But the main issue with this data resource is that there are lots of missing years and data is not up to date. I am interested in data till 2018, and I am very much interested in 2018 summer hourly precipitation data. Is there any possibility I can get this data through this resource or somewhere else?

If you could not find ground data or want to complement it, you can use satellite estimates, like NASA's GPM (recent) and TRMM (older). You can easily get that information from Giovanni: https://giovanni.gsfc.nasa.gov/giovanni/. While the region is outside of the NLDAS region, you can still use GLDAS which converts ground measurements into a regular grid with 3-hour resolution. NLDAS and GLDAS are also available through Giovanni. Since your watershed is large, using the spatiotemporal resolution from these products should not be a problem.

I think you can use Multi-Source Weighted-Ensemble Precipitation (MSWEP) Data which give 3-hourly temporal and 0.1° spatial resolution between 1979-2017.
