The combustion rate of paper is influenced by its structure and formulation, and modulating such properties should enable a way to control the rate at which combustion takes place under varying conditions. I wish to explore novel formulations or structures that would allow to significantly reduce paper combustion rates.

As you know, papers are made of cellulose & to this polymer, fire retardants could be added. The attached paper includes adding silica gel & K2CO3.
