I would like to find out the relationship between job stress and the productivity of the employees belongs to Academic setup (i.e those woking in Universities). Provide a suitable job stress index to be applied to study its impact on Work Productivity.

the most widely used scales are probably:
- The effort-reward imbalance model (ERI)
- The Job Content Questionnaire (operationalizes the so-called job demand control model)
In addition,there is the COPSOQ and scales on "organizational justice".
All these scales (available as quesionnaires or interviews) are assumed to measure some key aspect of "stressful work" (with somewhat different emphases) and have been found to predict poor health.

The key measure was created by the Health and Safety Executive, and permits benchmarking (e.g. comparison of stress and sources of stress across different occupations).
