The vast majority of ionic liquids are non-aqueous. Any search wll you give you a guidance. Imidazole based are one of the most common.

Ionic liquid are not aqueous. They may be water soluble or water unsoluble. It really depend what you want to do and what materials you use. Generally bistriflic amides have low corosivity and are not water soluble.
