I needed the harness to collect faeces for parasite eggs from particular non penned sheep for research.
In our University, there is no faecal collection harness. I have looked at the internet to find and buy one, but have not found any. So, I both some synthetic straps and made the harness myself. Now I would like to publish the method in order to help someone who has similar problem.
In your opinion, does it worth to publish that as a technique?

Start with a mesh-type material such as cheese cloth. Cut into a pattern that can have 4 to 6 "corners". Use a tube-type glue that is often used to paste tags onto cattle at sale auctions. Put glue on each corner of cloth. Press the cloth against wool around rectum and vulva. Urine will pass through and fecal pellets will be trapped inside material. To remove, use scissors to cut corners free from glue spots. The glue and residual cloth will eventually fall away. We used similar approaches with another material to collect urine samples.

I'm not sure that I understand your question. Do you have in mind the faecal bag for faeces collection? If so, I have good experience with this equipment; I use several homemade bags for sheep and goat faeces collection for obtaining pure culture of nematode infective larvae. This kinds of bags is quite common, I think that was used firstly by the people working in nutrition researches.
I have some experience with this apparatus, during the PhD, I used a model originally employed / designed by Moredun Institute staff, when I made some adaptations to improve performance and operationalization (using canvas and framed RPVC parts under heat).
I'm just reinforcing the response of Jaroslav Vadlejch, but I think worth noting such information.
La collecte totale des fèces est nécessaire à beaucoup d’études nutritionnelles, particulièrement pour connaître l’utilisation digestive des composants d’un régime, ou pour estimer la quantité d’herbe consommée par des animaux au pâturage. Différents auteurs ont décrit des appareils de collecte pour des agneaux pendant la phase d’allaitement (B Rissov et al., 1970 ) ou des agneaux et des brebis au pâturage (ROYAL, ig68 ; ARNOLD , ig6o). Ces appareils doivent être robustes et assurer une collecte et un échantillonnage simples et rapides des fèces, sans pertes, en particulier lorsque les moutons sont couchés. La gêne qu’ils causent à l’animal doit être minimale de façon à éviter d’éventuelles blessures ou irritations cutanées, voire des troubles du comportement et des réactions d’affolement. Les appareils décrits ne satisfont généralement pas à toutes ces conditions simultanément. C’est pourquoi nous avons accordé une attention particulière à la confection de matériels adaptés à la conformation des animaux et propres à éviter les inconvénients précités. As the others have pointed out there are quite a few publications that have used a harness method, so I doubt you'll be able to publish a paper with the harness as the focus. If your harness has some particular benefit over the other harnesses, then it might be okay to go into detail when you publish your findings from your study. If you do this, you need to know that reviewers may decide it is better to remove it before publication, but there's no harm in trying if you feel it is of benefit and can justify why!

Despite the device is common in research facilities, I will consider if I want to publish the method in a local journal to help the colleagues from my University in the future, if needed.
