I have to admit that I've be out of the loop for a while on choosing size exclusion resins. My understanding is that the number assigned (ex Sephadex G-25) means that the exclusion limit is 25 kDa, meaning that you can resolve proteins up to that size. But a cursory search of manufacturer sites says that it's cutoff is 5000. Can someone catch me up on the terminology? Is Sephadex even the proper medium for a protein resolution task?
