I have reviewed many articles containing information related to the inactivation of pathogens in water and air. It sounds promising to use Heat and UV for the inactivation of viruses. So can we use solar energy which is a good source of heat and UV in the fight against COVID-19 pandemic?
To the best of my knowledge, it sounds promising to me. I suggest the disinfection of facial masks, PPE kits, health care equipment, public transport, food items, household water, utensils, portable quarantine facilities, hospital wards, etc. using solar energy systems. In my evidence-based study in this review article I have tried to provide a new direction to thermal engineers for research in materials, design, and economic feasibility of solar energy systems to combat COVID-19.

Here we are talking about the virus present outside the host. Say in water and air. There are studies revealing the inactivation of virus present on fomites using UV and Heat.
It has been suggested that UV light can kill a variety of viruses. These days many people wondering if the sun can kill the novel coronavirus on frequently touched outdoor stuff like playground equipment? According to UT Health Epidemiologist Catherine Troisi, the UV light probably helps to kill the SARS-CoV-2.
It's possible using solar energy in fighting covid-19. It needs to control the temperature intensively for the used devices.
Dear Said Nurdin you pointed it right. To inactivate any pathogen a specific inactivation energy at an appropriate intensity is required.
Not only UV radiation might help, but many photocatalysts are used for disinfection. It depends only on the disinfection pathway. In this case, materials based on advanced oxidation processes (AOPs) technologies may help to fight vs the Covid-19.
