We understand that salinity has a substantial impact on mangrove growth. But I am unsure what you mean by "too little salinity will kill mangrove plants." I know mangroves can tolerate salinity, but that does not mean they hate fresh water.
We found that the growth of mangrove species is better in low-slaine areas.
