Audio visual mode of learning is a good technique used to enhance the memory power of learners. But can OHP is also so good tool?
This depends on the nature of the slides and the nature of learners
This also depends on the learner ability to concentrate on visual tracks. Few students cant split their concentration into hearing and vision simultaneously.
OHP is discontinued at most places.
We must be in tune with technology. Computer presentations (laptop or desktop) using LCD projector are adopted at most academic institutions and conference venues at hotels. It is good to keep our talks in both PPT and PDF format.
As friends pointed out, OHP slides (especially handwritten) are hard to read, and it is difficult to make changes / updates in our presentations.
In powerpoint / PDF presentations done with LCD projector, it is easy to make changes or improvements in our presentations, and also send a 'soft-copy' to audience.
