I would like to make a phage display using a synthetic or naive nanobody library in order to identify nanobodies targeting different neuronal proteins. However, I am not able to find a provider selling this product. I can only find companies (Hybribody, Creative-Biolabs etc.) that conduct the phage display/yeast surface display screen and provide me with the DNA sequences and nanobodies (and optimize affinity etc.). This costs ~10000$/antigen.
Alternatively, if there is a database with nanobody DNA sequences targeting different proteins, I may find the sequences I am looking for. Does anyone know such databases? (I could find http://ican.ils.seu.edu.cn/ and http://www.sdab-db.ca/ , but none of these had the nanobody sequences i was looking for).
Hello, considering the costs that you would have on your side, 10000$ per antigen is not that much. Anyway, I would recommend to contact Dr. Jean-Christophe Rain from Hybrigenics Services SAS and discuss your project with him. Hello Emil Arvedsen , for the nanobody DNA sequence library against multi-antigen, here you talk about synthetic nanobody DNA library, and the way to make such that library is CDR randomization, so the output ~ 2×1000,000,000,000 or more and the way to analyze this library you need to perform phage display technology by bio-panning to select specific nanbody DNA sequence against a specific antigen.

Hi Emil Arvedsen it is indeed possible to purchase nanobody libraries adapted to phage display. At ProteoGenix we have several nanobody libraries, including our most recent high-diversity naïve library - LiAbVHHMAXTM - containing the repertoire of over 50 camelids (alpacas, camels, and llamas) with a clonal diversity above 1010.
