Currently, I am working on when and why doctors use material resources (technology and artefacts) and social resources in dealing with the patients. But I am not sure that the use of the term material resources conveys the meaning i.e., the use of technology and artefacts. Can I use material objects instead?
I don't see a particular problem with 'material resources'. You have to be aware (and somebody will inevitably point out) that technology and artefacts are also social (technology being created by social processes, carrying inscribed social influences and so on) but as long as you use this as an analytical distinction rather than an ontological statement, it should be fine.
