If you want to see how closely the pattern of satellite infromation matches with your in-situ observations, you can use Taylor Diagram. However, you need to keep this in mind that the similarity between two patterns (Observed data versus modeled/simulated/satellite data) in Taylor diagram is quantified in terms of their correlation, their centered root-mean-square difference and the amplitude of their variations (represented by their standard deviations) which are called Taylor Statistics.

So, if you have sufficiently long enough time series of data from which you could calculate these statistics, you may use Taylor Diagram. If you do not have timeseries at individual locations but the set of information scattered at different locations for specific time stamps, you can arrange them in sequence to draw the Taylor Diagram accordingly. In this way you would be presenting a comparison across the space (spatial comparison) in different time stamps.

Thank you for your well-explained response. For your kind information, yes, I have done the same analysis i.e., RMSE, Correlation, Bias, etc. on my data of in-situ and satellite. Now, I am thinking to visualize these analyses in the Taylor Diagram. However, I don't have the time-series data at an individual location, rather I have the scattered data for a few months in a certain year (in-situ and their corresponding satellite data of those points in the northern Bay of Bengal).

In this case, what would be the best way to represent my analysis? Should I represent the spatial comparison for those certain time stamps? If so, then my data points will be reduced in the number of values (n). Is there any minimum sample size (n=) required for this analysis (e.g., number of stations values should be more than 30 or 50 or 100 or so)?
