I don't know the time since all individual genes will be expressed at different time points. Can I use half life of the drug as the time point?

Could you provide a bit more information?

What's the number of genes your interested in?

What is the biological question you would like to answer?

Based on the questions above, you can make a logical decision. For example, if your drug affects cell migration after 24h of exposure, you could take the 24h timepoint to analyze changes in expression of migration-related genes.
