Are there any significant issues with using standard plastic falcon tubes for DNA extraction with chloroform? How long can chloroform be in contact with polypropylene for it to have a negative impact on DNA extractions?

I've seen quite a lot of discussion relating to chloroform and its effect on other assays but was hoping to get some insight from people who specifically do chloroform DNA extraction.

I have no experience with DNA extraction, but i know that leaving chloroform in these tubes over night weakens them so much that they break in the centrifuge.
Thanks for the timeframe, Mathias Glassner. I'll only need to have chloroform in these tubes for a few minutes before they get centrifuged, so I think it should be alright
