Mr. Alaa J Mahrath, unfortunately, I cannot reveal the exact structure of my compound. However, I can say that is a heterocyclic compound carrying two functional groups, a primary amine and a methoxy group which I would like to demethylate. I hope that it helps you to give me some advices. thank you.
In my view there is no issue in using BBr3 for the deprotection of methoxy group in a compound containg free NH2. The thing you need to take care of is the acidity of the reaction mixture. After completion of the reaction, the mixture should be brought to neutral conditions so that amino group should not get converted to its salt and remain in aqueous layer. Otherwise reaction is reported to proceed well. Some examples are enclosed in the attachment
