I am working on a heat transfer and pressure drop research.Part of my work requires measurement of pressure drop.I have a differential pressure transmitter with the following details and a USB-2416 MC DAQ device to take measurements.
Differential Pressure transmitter
STYLE:YGX-PTS802
Range:0-1KPa
Accuracy:0.5%FS
Output:4-20mA
Sup:24VDC
However,I haven't used either of those devices before and I have no prior working knowledge of them.Could anyone working on a related field help me on how to use them both,including the electrical connections and wirings?.I highly appreciate your kind help.
Hello Tarik,
If you refer the input range of your USB2416 MC DAQ, it ranges from +/-0.076V to a maximum of +/-20V. Clearly your DAQ is a voltage input type whereas your sensor is current output type.
Try using a 4-20mA current-loop converter into a voltage output and you should be able to interface your sensor to the DAQ. There are plenty SIMPLE circuits using opamps to solve your problem.

Thank you very much Mr Prasanna.Yes ,the input range of my DAQ device is exactly as you stated.So,do i need to make a separate circuit by myself or I can get a ready made device that takes care of this?
Tarik,
I recommend that you try the circuit on your own. That's the best way to learn and gain knowledge about! Moreover it will also increase your expertise. Getting a ready-made solution will only increase you dependency on outside resources.
Sometimes we should know that the work or task is easier to work with but starting to work is a bit difficult.
