If there is still some of the storage buffer remaining, the resin might still be alright to use. Before applying your sample, make sure to equilibrate the resin in your wash buffer.
If the resin is completely dry, I would not risk using it. The drying would likely affect the structure of the agarose matrix, and we have not tested how it reacts under these conditions.
To check the resin activity, you can apply HABA. If the buffer changes from yellow to red, this indicates that the resin is still active and can potentially bind the tagged protein.
