you can use explicit result as initial state in implicit step

Dear Mohamed,

You can create an annealing step just after the dynamic temperature-displacement explicit step in the model. The anneal procedure is intended to simulate the relaxation of stresses and plastic strains that occurs as metals are heated to high temperatures. The annealing step is an explicit step, so there is no need to have any issues about an implicit step following an explicit step. You can have a look at the following template input file which may be of help to you:

*HEADING

…

*STEP

*DYNAMIC TEMPERATURE-DISPLACEMENT, EXPLICIT

...

*END STEP

*ANNEAL (,TEMPERATURE=)

*DYNAMIC, EXPLICIT (,ADIABATIC)

....
