Most of the time, we get singularities because of the discontinutiy in your model. If you defin the mesh in such that all the nodes located on both sides are merged together, you will be able to reduce singularitties n your model significantly. Discontinutiy is one of the main source of error that most of the time is neglecrted in simulations.
