i want to do an in vivo study related to prion neurodegeneration in syrian golden hamsters...during experiment i need to sacrifice animals for calcineurin activity...now my question is that i need to do western blot for my target phosphorylated proteins in response to calcineurin levels through western blot so i can freeze the brain for future analysis but i am not sure if i can freeze the brain if i want to check calcineurin activity or do i need to do in fresh brain sample?

thanks in advance
