Can I cut the Snap-frozen tissue into some segments and then extract RNA?

I have mouse epididymal tissues (snap-frozen and stored at -80C) and would like to do RNA extraction. My samples are stored as whole tissues, but I would like to analyze samples after cutting into 3 segments(caput, corpus, and cauda epididymis).

Is there a problem in this process?
