I think it's due to the molecular mass of ammonia is greater than that of methane. Because the force is directly proportional to the mass, if the mass is large then the bonding forces between molecules are also strong. Therefore, the stronger the binding force, the more energy and time it takes for ammonia to react or ignite.
Moreover, a high boiling point indicates that ammonia takes a longer time to evaporate and burn.
