Yes, you can but it is better to use any known software, you have to send your data with proper tabulation to that expert person otherwise it will be difficult for him/her to understand the suitable method to do the analysis, you can also suggest the analysis method to the spss expert
Jamal - ResearchGate is not a forum to ask people to perform tasks for you. It is for advice on asking academics if they can assist in helping you achieve it yourself. Your institution should have people that can perform this task for you. If not - and you do not have the skills to follow it through - why did you undertake the task in the first place?
My question is not to find someone to do it for me. My colleague is an expert in SPSS. The question is "is it a must to do SPSS myself? Is it legal to ask someone to do it for me?
Jamal - that is acceptable as Hassan suggests. If it were something though such as a doctoral thesis it would not be recommended - as the candidate might have to defend the statistics.
SPSS is not difficult to handle for basic statistical analysis like frequency tables, cross tabulations, means and logistic regression analyses. You can learn it your self with some help of an expert. You can also request the help of someone who is capable of statistical analysis with SPSS. In this case you need to be clear about the tables you need and your data can be coded, fed and analysed. .
This is what many researchers do. Sometimes a researcher's concern is finding a relationship or causality between two variables. That does not mean he/she needs to be expert in SPSS to be able to conduct that study. Plus, many researchers use SPSS manuals like one by Julie Pallant to perform their analysis and interpret results on their own. I would recommend the second option.
It depends on which type of study you do. If this is for academic certification you can't make someone else do the maths. If this is contract research, you can. You might say who did the job, and thank him or her.
I would take some time to study some web video tutorials, or ask a friend that introduces you in how to use SPSS and with your data. The SPSS handbooks that go with the programme are well written and intend to facilitate the access for nonspecialists in statistics.
There are also a number of books about doing introductory statistics with SPSS which can help you.
hi, Jamal . you can ask an expert to do SPSS for you but what is important is interpretation and understanding the results. the expert should help you to interpret . you should have a conference, online or face to face, with him talking about the research questions and results. best regards
