You should decide which area in Linguistics you want to tackle. You may Google for a y relevant topics or writers, you will find thousands of books there.
A number of great books on sociolinguistics and stylistics will guide you in creating your course descriptions. You might want to consider first your program's aim, vision, and expected student outcomes so that you can identify which resources will be helpful.
For Sociolinguistics, you may try these sources:
1. Sociolinguistics: A reader (Coupland and Jaworski, 1997)
2. Sociolinguistics (Bernard Spolsky, 1998)
3. An introduction to sociolinguistics (Janet Holmes, 2017)
4. Doing sociolinguistics: A practical guide to data collection and analysis (Miriam Meyerhoff, 2015)
For Stylistics,
1. Stylistics: A resource book for students (Paul Simpson, 2014)
Thank you Hazim and Hyder, I have searched Google and found many books and they are wit me. I just wanted you to advise me based on your experience. My question is for those who are teaching MA course and have experience of the good books of sociolinguistics and stylistics.
I believe there was a technical problem - I´ve just forwarded some books to you, but can´t detect any of them. So, I hope this time everything works properly.
There is no specific topic. I would a recommended book of stylistics and a book of sociolonguistic to teach stylistics and sociolinguistics to MA linguistic students.
Hi I can only suggest areas of Maori and or Indigenous health and rather than make any suggestions it would be better if I refer you to Professor Suzanne Purdy Head of Psychology Auckland University, New Zealand, or Dr Karen Brewer of the same univrsity who specialising in Speech Science, both email address can be found on the Auckland University website,
