From the Solartron, Impedance Analyser, we characterise the thin films and obtain the frequency (Hz), Impedance magnitude (ohm), Impedance phase (deg), admittance magnitude (S) and capacitance magnitude (F) values.
I can see the conversion of the bode plot to cole-cole plot, but, I did not know how to get the data of the Impedance real and imaginary values.
Can I able to calculate the dielectric constant values from the cole-cole plot directly or should I learn bode/nyquist plots?
And, how should I use the ZSimpWin to iterate or simulate the Z values with the Randles circuit or any other circuits inorder to derive the other parameters?
Is this matching of the circuits, helps me to identify the dielectric constant value? Kindly help me with this issue, so that I can learn about it.
I think it is possible you can calculate it. But you need to consider one thing before, the dielectric constant films should be constructed using a parallel plate capacitor. And by using formula you can obtain it.
Thanks for the reply. I have found the information for converting the magnitude and phase Impedance to real and imaginary impedance i.e., Zim and Zre respectively.
For my thin film sample, the plot between the imaginary and real impedance is semicircle. I also calculated the Rs, Rp and Cp values for the Randles circuit.
Now, I have one main question need to be solved. I would like to calculate the dielectric constant epsilon real(E') and epsilon imaginary(E''). Kindly please give me the information.
