Based on some geochemical features (e.g. high Sr/Y, Gd/Yb), some researches suggest garnet may crystalize during basaltic magma evolution.

If garnet crystalizes in basaltic magma, why no garnet phenocryst occurs in basalts. One may argue that the crystalized garnet may react with the surrounding melt as magma moving up. However, this cannot prevent garnet to occur as inclusion in other minerals.

So, can garnet crystalize from basaltic magma? Can someone share some petrographic photograph of basalt with Gt phenocryst?
