It is more like tonsil than like brain. I think if you managed sectioning tonsils, you will also succeed with liver.

Gudrun Lang Thanks! Is there anything I should look out for when I'm doing IHC on them? Is it prone to more auto fluorescence or has high background?

Formalinfixed liver shows autofluorescence and is rich in biotin.

Liver has a tendency to dry out when sectioning, so a wet ice tray helps to prevent them cracking when sectioning. It is very prone to high background, even when using polymers.
