I guess it depends on the type of stimulation you want to focus on and what you kind of assay you want to do - the immune system is very complex, so to see the full picture in a culture flask is most probably impossible.
Is it stimulation of T cells, B cells, macrophages, mixed cell population, or others? Cytokine release? induction of surface specific receptors? Do you want to look at a cell line or isolated primary cells? The options are many...

vero cells and RD cell lines are suitable in my regards, with different sensitivity but they are usefull in wide range of the same studies. while if you request my special advice; you can use mononuclear cells with the enhancement by PHA.
