I am working on review work on service innovation published in leading service marketing journals. My question is which theory may be more suitable to link with same work?
You can start by reading The handbook of innovation and services : a multi-disciplinary perspective / edited by Faiz Gallouj, Faridah Djellal in 2010 (Cheltenham [etc.] : Edward Elgar)
The intellectual territory that revolves around service innovation can be mapped through three well-established school of thoughts which are predominant in influencing academic debate in the field. The three literature streams include service-dominant logic (Vargo and Lusch, 2004), service logic (e.g. Grönroos, 2008) and service science (e.g. Chesbrough and Spohrer, 2006; Maglio and Spohrer, 2008).
I suggest you review the book "service innovation": Organizational Responses to Technological Opportunities & market imperatives. (Tidd and Hull, 2003), It has theoretical aspects and case studies
Please have a look at these papers: the first is about bank innovations, the second and the third trait the measurement of Company Innovative Leadership, including in the service sector.
