I am trying to do a project with the Second-Life of Used EV Batteries for my university. I have the batteries in hand and even teardown them. Please suggest me am idea like power grid usage or various uses in a small-scale with 3 months time.
One of the simplest ones is to power street lamps (that is not solar powered) in your university / nearby park. You could add few solar panels to store energy at daytime and then at night use the batteries to power up the lamps. It could be a nice project to monitor the efficiency, usage patterns etc.
I have for many years been involved in EV innovation and the Off Grid Standalone Power Plant industry as a systems designer and hard/software manufacturer, and I am experienced with re-use of EV storage stacks [up to 800 VDC] for integration with other power plant systems, including solar PV; pico-hydro; wind and ultra-capacitors.
