ARMS PCR or End point PCR or CAST PCR which is gives the best result
ARMS is very good for point mutations but fails to distinguish which base of 2 mutated bases at the same position exists unless you are specifically looking for the second mutation. You might want to consider the DCAPS method where adding a second mismatch in the primer creates a restriction enzyme site and then cutting the pcr product with the enzyme confirms the first mutation and also the amount of cuting 50% or 100% indicates the zygosity of the sample

as Paul said ARMS is very useful, easy and precise, but the key point is to use the correct primers, whatever the solutions you choose.
