My Phd thesis is "informal power in organization" I have researched but I haven't reached any sources about informal power. I reached thousands of material about power, but informal power. Can anyone suggest me the source about informal power in organization?
Best starting place is probably French & Raven (1959) .. it has its limitations since it is 'of its time' but then the modern stuff is also 'of its time' and will be at least partially discredited within a generation - but it will open a few doors. Hopefully.

Perhaps refine your search for informatil power literature to 'elite networks'. There is some research done there as well. Often you have in companies informal networks which influence decision making in companies when employees have the same university or military background

In the knowledge driven world, "Knowledge is power". Organisational stories abound with power flowing through informal networks based on knowledge sources. There are online communities with influencers only because of their specialized domain knowledge.
I think searches with "knowledge + power" will throw up a lot of relevant documents for you.
Therothically I am not much involved but from the practice, "experts" may play the informal power. So try to find something about "expert power in organizations".

Powerful informal relations, groups as well as informal alliances are common in organizations.
When it comes to power relations in organizations these can be highly informal, because power exist when it is done and enacted, and not only related to formal rules and hierarchies (Foucault 1980, Power and Knowledge, Clegg, Courpasson and Phillips, Power and Organizations 2006. Both an informal system and a formal system exist in organizations (ibid).
Concerning power alliances Nordgren (2015, Power relations between managers and politicians….) states that in the context of university hospitals “It was also a matter of power play, as in a political arena, e.g. creating alliances which can, however, be unstable and assume different forms (Clegg, S., Kornberger, M. & T. Pitsis (2011) Managing & Organizations. An introduction to theory and practice, Sage, Los Angeles.). These are characterized by a moderate, limited, and relatively stable conflict (ibid). One form is a triad, which can be seen as a relationship between three parties and which can be characterized by tensions between closeness and distance (Simmel 1971). There were various formations of alliances. One might be politicians and Senior Medical Officers forming an ‘unholy alliance’, which can be seen as a power relationship… Another might be Senior Medical Officers combining within a collegial group…. etcetera (Nordgren 2015, p. 95).

I think informal power may also come from those who are able to influence other people, perhaps due to their good networking and leadership quality. Or in certain countries, those who has political connections. Just my 2 cents view.
Yes, I think too. Bu t I want to uncovor this unclear concept.In addition this, I want to find out another reason for ınformal power in organizaton. So I have prefered this subject my thesis.

On a positive note, informal power can be obtained by an individuals personal characteristics (personality), quality of work delivered, influential leadership styles (Charismatic, transformational etc.,), to a some extent demographic profile as well.
