the honey bee melittin signal sequence is commonly used for secession in insect cells. Most mammalian signal sequences can also be used successfully. There can however be problems with secretion from baculoviraly infected insect cells as the pathways get compromised. The use of High5s can be more successful then Sf lines.
Thankyou for your suggestion. I also came to know about p67 and egt baculovirus signal peptide sequences that can be used. What is your opinion about these peptides?
I've never used p67 or egt signals so I can't give you a view on them. My experience is that secretion is dependent on the the signal and the protein combined. So whilst having a good sequence is required there can be many other factors affecting the secretion such as protein folding. Normally I would use melittin and the wt (for that protein) sequence.
