there are many good books on conflict management, one of the good books is "War and the Media: Reporting Conflict 24/ 7" by Daya Kishan Thussu, Des Freedman. I think you will find it helpful.
I discuss amicable win-win processes for resolving societal and international conflicts in an appendix of one of my published books; this appendix can be accessed by using the following URL link: https://www.academia.edu/8675781/Developing_a_Truly_Compassionate_Society
This appendix is part of my book, "Deepening Your Personal Relationships: Developing Emotional Intimacy and Good Communication." In that book, I also discuss psychologically healthy, compassionate, respectful ways of resolving interpersonal conflicts. In another book "Psychological Healing Through Creative Self-Understanding and Self-Transformation"), I discuss related ways of resolving conflict and emotional pain within the individual psyche.
It depends on the type of conflict or environment but an excellent resource for finding materials would be the Harvard Program on Negotiation: http://www.pon.harvard.edu/teaching-materials-publications/.
My all time favorite book is Roger Fisher and William Ury, Getting to Yes: Negotiating Agreement Without Giving In, (New York: Penguin Books, 1983).
You might find inspiration from listening to this TED Talks:
Krieger and Neumann, Essential Lawyering Skills is excellent on negotiating disputes in general especially insofar as it recognizes and addresses the roles of power, interests, and external constraints such as law and customary norms. Fisher and Ury's Getting to Yes is foundational in addressing interests-based negotiations, but is more limited. At the international level things are harder, especially if concerned about state to state relationships, though most of the same principles apply. Is it a one-time thing (e.g., settling a tort case?) or is it an ongoing relationship?
