I guess and MLA Handbook of sixth edition is important to go through to avoid the so called intellectual theft of any scholars. Also click on the link below for sample
I have found these interesting as I study academic information behaviors and students with disabilities.
Catalano, A., Paretta, L., McGiveny, C. & King, T. (2014). Library Study Behaviors in the Age of Ubiquitous Mobile Devices: An Observational Study in Four Academic Libraries. Reference Librarian, 55(4), 328-342.

Du, J. T., & Evans, N. (2011). Academic Users’ Information Searching on Research Topics: Characteristics of Research Tasks and Search Strategies. Journal of Academic Librarianship, 37(4), 299-306.
There are hundreds of them. For a review (but not very up-to-date) look at the last edition of Donald Case's book (Looking for Information). The book is a review of the information seeking literature. My colleagues and I have done several studies on the subject, especially using journals (see e.g. http://dx.doi.org/10.1016/j.ipm.2006.02.001 http://dx.doi.org/10.1016/j.ipm.2006.08.007 )
