You can find many paper, books or thesis related to SMC, I think you should to find a thesis which one of the best one is " fuzzy model-based adaptive robust control design and application to robot manipulators" by " Meysar Zainali", you also can to follow my papers I have more than 80 papers related to SMC with application to robot manipulator, continuum robot, IC engine and 3-D motor.
