xrd peaks need to be analysed by comparing with standard data. So i want to compare xrd raw data with the standard data using xpert pro high score software.
(This answer is based on the software HighScore Plus but should work for the Pro version as well)
First of all, you need to install a database. There's an open database you can check here: http://www.crystallography.net/cod/. To install it in the software, just go to the "Customize" label, "Manage Databases" and browse for the database file by clicking in "Add HighScore Database".
To match your experimental data towards a pattern, open your XRD diagram (watch the format of your file! You might need to convert it depending on which equipment you use to acquire the data). Then go to the "Analysis" label, "Search & Match" and "Execute Search & Match". It's useful to use restrictions generally. If you want to, just click in "Restriction set" and Edit. In that window you have several options to choose, Chemistry is very useful in general. Once the restrictions are set, close the window and click in "Search" and then "Ok".
Some panels should open afterwards. If not, they might be disabled (go to View and enable the List Pane). The possible pattern matches should be listed in the Patern List.
You can download the latest version of the COD for PANalytical from the webpage (http://www.crystallography.net/cod/). Go to "What's new". At the very beginning you can find the latest version (January 2020). It should be more complete
