1) The lipids was extracted and 1H NMR spectra was obtained. In that there is no peak in region 7.0 - 10.0 ppm corresponding for primary and secondary oxidation products . But while doing estimation of peroxide and anisidine value through chemical methods same day indicates its presence (Peroxide value = 10 meq O2/ Kg ; Anisidine value = 2.15). What is the reason behind this?
2) What is the range of peroxide and anisidine value for good quality of animal fats or oils?
3) Is there any specifications of oil on peroxide and anisidine value to use oil/fats as a feedstock for biodiesel production?

NMR is not good to predict primary or secondary oxidations.oxidations. Peroxide are very unstable and decomposes very fast. The best way to estimate PV and Ansidine values are titration and spectroscopic methods.PV can be determined either by titration with sodium thioslphate in presence of KI as per AOCS method or by Safe test kit .The anisidine value can be found by spectroscopic method using AOAC method.
You can also determine secondary oxidation as malonaldehyde by GC-MS after converting the secondary oxidation product into a chemical entity.
As per IFOS/GEOD the recommended limits for a good quality oils with PV less than 5 meq/kg and AV less than 20 .The totox should be less than 26 .In your case the TOTOX value is 22.15, which i believe within the specs.Hope this helps you
