I have tried using the function code ,cbind to re-order but does not work in my case. I am trying to organised moon phases according to their pattern as 1st, Full, 3rd, New. I got fish abundance (Counts) to compare were a total of Seven effort for each moon phases

Sorry, but I did not quite understand the question. Do you want to replace the elements of the factor 1,2,3,4 by the texts "First","Full","Third","New" ?

Thank you for your great response. I tried the script as the way you display it but it does not work.
I have attach the data in csv format. I want to make box-plots for moon phase vs weight and months versus weight. The plot is okay but the challenge is how do i arrange it according to my preference. Maybe something is wrong with my data format.

They must be ordered the levels of your factor Month
