I collected the plant at dry land in Trichy (Tamil Nadu) in raining season. This is look like lotus. Its have a lotus like beautiful flower on single leaf. First time I sea lotus like flower in dry land. This is not a plastic flower.
Are you sure it isn't artificial? Both flower and leaf look much like Nymphaea, but that of course is a water plant.
Definitely looks like a synthetic plant. I don't see any venation or variations in color in the petals.
Definitely it is an artificial plastic flower and usually used for decorating aquariums. Nowhere flowers are formed on leaf as it is shown in the model. You can see even the projected mid vein on the petal which is not seen in a normal flower. Anyhow if they are not fooling us please send me a specimen. I am in Trivandrum, not far away from Trichi.
I am again saying there is no angiosperm flower with this morphology, ie flowers placed on the surface of a leaf.
Does not at all look like a real plant. I feel it's an artificial floating flower and leaf of Nymphaea
