for M.Sc. part 1 semester 2 students of integrated Biotechnology course, aquaculture technology is one of the papers. I have to design theory syllabus as well as practical syllabus. Theory should have 4 units as 4 lectures workload for theory and practicals have 8 hours workload per week. Help me for this work. I want to give best exposure to students and make an interesting syllabus as well as relevant for practical research further.

I think the list suggested by Prof. Chandravadan is a good one. Just to add on to the list suggested him, you can also look into Central Institute of Freshwater Aquaculture, CIFA, Bhubaneshwar (as the name suggests their expertise would be on aquaculture from Inland) and Central Institute of Brackishwater Aquaculture, Chennai or may be Central Marine Fisheries Research Institute, Kochi (these two institutes also work a lot on culture aspects with a focus on seas and coasts). Especially if you want to build a course on not just aquaculature, but aquaculture technology, key people from these institutes may contribute well for your course. I know too much will be a burden for students and the teacher, so how about talking to several experts and then plan what is possible to be taught in theory and equally back it up with sound practicals. I think this is necessary as you have to see what resources are available around your Institute to show your students practically what you teach in theory. good luck!
