I isolate total RNA from approximately 10k-15k cell through Trizol reagent. However, the purity of RNA sample is very low. Can you recommend a kit for total RNA isolation from small quantities sample?
If you need this extraction for array pay attention, in my case the company that made the arrays prefer the trizol extraction, not kit with column.
To choose the best extractio kit for microarrays ask directly to the help desk of the distributors (qiagen, Life, etc) they surely can help you!

I used a kit of QIAGEN to small amounts of cells and it worked well and the protocol is easy
I also used Qiagen and it worked well as Lorenzo said. Very good kits are the ones of Life Tecnologies but a little expensive.

I have used the Qiagen RNAEasy kit extensively and always had very good results, even with low cell inputs.
Trizol reagent on of the best method for RNA isolation .i think last 2 step reqiure carefully and you should RNA sample dissolve in 20micro ltr RT-PCR grade water.
