The vycor glass frits are being damaged very quickly. Even ceramic frits also, due to extensive use of 6M KOH solution as electrolyte. What is the best but cheap solution for this problem?

You could use a double junction reference electrode with a plastic body and sleeve diaphragm and use as second bridge electrolyte also a KOH solution to keep the liquid junction potential small.
